The Visual Essay “GEARTE 25 years” was carried out with 25 image planes in which a temporal and spatial dialogue was established from counterpoints, just like a polyphonic interlacing. Over time, we sought to characterize the sensoriality of the presence with the other, through imagery constructions of object records and performance records of the history of GEARTE, in contrast with images of the virtual actuality of the mixture present in the networks. And, in space, connections, bridges and also networks were materialized, contracting and expanding according to the contexts of action and performance of the “Geartianos” and “Geartianas”. In this way, what could be seen as a limit, came to be seen as a threshold of passage to other ways of being, creating and researching. It began with the counter-shot of the image of the lightness of the “25-year-old seal”, emphasizing the passage and the blossoming, immersed in the plane of the density of the diversity of virtual networks. And the Visual Essay was concluded with the construction of an image-plane of the applause, which, in auditory and visual synchrony, emphasizes the effectiveness of presence. So, horizontally, the movement that was made, from the foreground to the last plane, was like an ascending spiral, which, starting from the current reality, goes rescuing old paths and traveling and pointing to new directions, but, without forgetting to take what characterizes the all of us, human beings who are researchers and researchers of our own ways of being and existing. Congratulations, GEARTE!
