Abstract

This visual essay narrates the author’s personal experiences during the initial months of the Covid-19 pandemic, which he spent in lockdown, alone in his apartment in Mexico City, without receiving any visitors (except for purchases), and in the company of his four cats. In an intent to portray those days in bittersweet terms, the essay shows expressions of, on one hand, loneliness and anguish, and on the other, the close companionship with the felines, as well as the few contacts with humans established by means of the internet.
