Discovering the Body: an endless story

The article deals with the
relationship between the discovery of the body and the possibility of news risks for the
health. The paradox between constructing a free body and implementing many forms
of body alteration was registered in sciences and arts. Looking back through the actual
history we can see how this paradox changes and how the events of 1968 and their
repercussions demonstrated a new sense for the reconstruction of self, revealing problems
and challenges for the humanities.
