Abstract

The discussion proposes a search about the concepts of the public and private spheres since antiquity, as well as the role of education in the middle of these two organizational fields. In view of the existence of a crisis nowadays that spans over several segments (political, economic, cultural and social) we bring the following question: the concepts of public and private spheres need to be rescued? With this inquiry we have the objective of this article, a reflection about the rescue of the public and private and the role of education in this perspective. The possibility of this research being used as an instrument of study for the academy, and as a path for bringing awareness for the community itself, is presented as its justification. For the methodology we opted for bibliographical research of qualitative approach, using as main theoretical references: Hannah Arendt, Celso Lafer and José Sérgio de Carvalho.
