How Brazilian political parties use the Internet to attract young voters

This paper analyzes how the Brazilian political parties use of the Internet to communicate with the young segment of the electorate. The study identifies four strategies to reach them: (a) through contact with the website of the youth department of the political parties, (b) the dissemination of information and events of interest to the youth, (c) the offering of online courses on political education, (d) the usage of online social networks. In order to reach this segment of the electorate it is important to show all the diferent parties’ acomplishments.Downloads
