Searching for a method
how to analyze fictional narrative adaptations for the television
Abstract
In this article, I intend to show the intermediality, intersemiotics traduction and audio-visual adaptation researchers, a straightforward methodology proposal to apply to researches in these areas (more namely, in studies concerning television adaptations), following on from a re-reading of the methodologies as proposed by Stam (2006), Casetti e Di Chio (2006). Because of this, I chose as a starting point the work that I developed in my doctorate, and which I lately re-chose for my post-doctorate. The results of this study culminated in the systemization of a methodological framework, composed by analysis categories, to apply to the analysis of literature classics adaptations for the television medium, focusing on the linguistics aspects of the productions, in what refers to the spoken language.
Key-words: Adaptation. Analysis methodology. Literature and television. Italian literature.
