Trajetórias e natureza do livro didático nas escolas de ensino primário no século 19 no Brasil
Abstract
O objetivo deste trabalho foi inventariar o que os alunos e professores liam nas aulas de primeiras letras no Brasil no século 19, caracterizando a natureza, a origem, o conteúdo e a dispersão geográfica da produção, da editoração e da distribuição de manuais, compêndios, textos escolares neste período histórico. Este processo iniciou-se sob a égide portuguesa, passou por um processo de controle português, francês e brasileiro, consolidando-se sob o domínio do Município Neutro, e, ao final do período, pela emergência de uma estrutura sob hegemonia de autores e editores provinciais.

Abstract
This work aimed at investigating what students and teachers read in the three R's classes in Brazil in the 19 century, characterizing the nature, origin, content and geographic dispersion of the production, publishing and distribution of scholar manuals, compendiums, texts, etc, in that historical period. This process started under portuguese egis, passed by a process of simultaneous Portuguese, French and Brazilian control and was consolidated under the Rio de Janeiro city (Município Neutro) domination. In the end of that period, it was characterized by the emergence of a structure under the hegemony of provincial authors and editors.
