“Uma modesta árvore comemorativa” - a Revista de Ensino Primário e o Centenário da Independência Nacional (Santa Catarina, 1922)
Abstract
Este artigo tematizou a publicação da Revista de Ensino Primário (1922) catarinense, atentando para os dispositivos narrativos e as indicações para organização da materialidade escolar em meio às comemorações do Centenário da Independência nacional. Interessou, pois, inquirir as formas pelas quais a revista apresentou dados, citações e referências na tentativa de construir a legitimidade necessária para o exercício do mando por parte da Diretoria Geral da Instrução Pública, então capitaneada por Henrique da Silva Fontes, bem como de dar subsídios à prática docente, sobretudo na instrução primária. Como considerações finais, assinala para as disputas mapeadas por meio das orientações fornecidas na publicação, bem como para o esforço narrativo em inserir a história e a instrução catarinense em um cenário nacional de luta contra o analfabetismo.
