A HISTÓRIA DO ENSINO DA FILOSOFIA NO SISTEMA ESCOLAR FRANCÊS E BRASILEIRO

Neste artigo, apresentamos a história do ensino da filosofia no sistema escolar francês e brasileiro. Notamos que, na França, esse ensino está presente nos currículos escolares há décadas, e mesmo séculos: trata-se de uma matéria escolar obrigatória desde o início do século XIX, e sua importância foi questionada apenas algumas vezes ao longo da sua história. Essa história é, em suma, marcada por uma grande estabilidade. Já no Brasil, a filosofia também está ligada à tradição jesuíta (cf. SHERRINGHAM, 2006); mas, contrariamente ao que acontece na França, em nosso país esse ensino é marcado por uma história complicada de “idas e vindas”. Por outras palavras, a marca do ensino da filosofia no Ensino Médio brasileiro é sua instabilidade.
