El espacio de la historia de la educación en la formación de docentes en las universidades chilenas: evolución, situación y desafíos

La enseñanza de la historia de la educación en las facultades de pedagogía en Chile presenta una amplia serie de limitaciones importantes, que están supeditadas a un primer problema mayor: la asignatura no forma parte necesariamente de las estructuras curriculares de pre y postgrado, siendo por esto parcialmente invisible como saber inscrito dentro del proceso formativo de los profesores chilenos. Nuestra ponencia pretende explorar en las características pasadas y actuales de la historia de la educación como asignatura universitaria en Chile y plantear la pertinencia de su inclusión en el currículum pedagógico de quienes reciben formación docente para hacerse cargo de implementar la Reforma Educacional en curso en el país.

Abstract
The teaching of history of education in the Chilean university system presents a wide range of limitations, which are subordinated to the first major problem: this subject is not necessarily y considered as a part of undergraduate and graduate curricular structures, being for that a partially invisible field of knowledge in the professional formation process of Chilean teachers. This presentation is intended to explore on past and present of history of education as a university course in Chile and to support its inclusion on pedagogical curriculum of teachers that are in nowadays developing Educational Reform in Chile.
