Formação e atribuições de diretores de grupos escolares em São Paulo (1894-1933)
Abstract
A criação dos grupos escolares em São Paulo em 1893 suscitou uma série de modificações na organização do ensino primário, dentre elas o "aparecimento" da função de diretor escolar. Este artigo objetiva analisar as primeiras menções normativas relacionadas à essa função e identificar as incorporações das atribuições nos programas de ensino da Escola Normal do Estado de São Paulo. O recorte cronológico considera o período entre a publicação do Regimento Interno das Escolas Públicas (1894), o primeiro a prever a designação de diretor para os grupos escolares, e a publicação do Código de Educação do Estado de São Paulo (1933), que modifica a formação exigida ao cargo. As análises se amparam na Nova História Cultural e discutem o delineamento das ações dos diretores de grupos escolares como parte do movimento de produção de estruturas administrativas utilizadas pelo Estado para cuidar da instrução pública.
