As escolas libertárias em Porto Alegre: propostas educacionais e relação com a territorialidade do movimento anarquista (1906-1936)
Abstract
In the first decades of the 20th century, anarchist activists in Porto Alegre founded several schools aimed at the working class, which stood out for their libertarian perspective. The first experience was the Eliseu Reclus School of 1906, followed by other proposals such as the Workers' Federation School, the Modern Schools and the Francisco Ferrer Aula, the latter already in the 1930s. This article aims to map the creation of these libertarian schools as a significant phenomenon in the organization of the working class in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul in the first decades of the 20th century, understanding this process associated with the history of the labor movement and linked to the constitution of an anarchist territoriality in Porto Alegre.
