O ensino de enfermagem em Sergipe: da Escola Profissional à criação do Curso de Enfermagem da UFS (1949-1975)
Abstract
In this historical-social study, the proposed objective was to present the historical trajectory of nursing education in Sergipe, a cut between 1949-1975. Periods between the advent of Law 775 that demarcates the regulation of nursing education in Brazil and the decree authorizing the creation of the Undergraduate Nursing Course of the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), concerns about the improvement of nursing care practices from the educational instruction of this craft. The article concluded that the process of professionalization of nursing was based on the advent of law 775/1949 and, in the course of improving the techniques and practices of nursing care, the scientific field is consolidated with the creation of the nursing course at UFS.
