O ensino de enfermagem em Sergipe: da Escola Profissional à criação do Curso de Enfermagem da UFS (1949-1975)

Abstract

In this historical-social study, the proposed objective was to present the historical trajectory of nursing education in Sergipe, a cut between 1949-1975. Periods between the advent of Law 775 that demarcates the regulation of nursing education in Brazil and the decree authorizing the creation of the Undergraduate Nursing Course of the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), concerns about the improvement of nursing care practices from the educational instruction of this craft. The article concluded that the process of professionalization of nursing was based on the advent of law 775/1949 and, in the course of improving the techniques and practices of nursing care, the scientific field is consolidated with the creation of the nursing course at UFS.

Doutora em Educação pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (PPGED/ UFS), Mestre em Enfermagem pela Escola de Enfermagem Anna Nery da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Enfermeira, Graduada pela Faculdade de Enfermagem Luíza de Marillac (2000), Especialista em Educação na área de Qualificação Profissional de Enfermagem pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (2002), pós graduada em Enfermagem do Trabalho (2008), Gestão Pública e Responsabilidade fiscal (2009). Membro do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas sobre História do Ensino Superior (GREPHES). Possui experiência na área de Educação Profissional, ensino superior a nível de graduação e pós graduação, Terapia intensiva Adulto e Neonatal, Gestão de processos e Educação Permanente da Equipe de enfermagem. Servidora da Universidade Federal de Sergipe.

Doutora em Educação pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2006), Mestrado em Educação obtido na Universidade Federal de Sergipe - UFS (1998), Bacharela em História pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (1984) e Graduada em História, também pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (1979). Professora Associada do Departamento de Educação e membro do corpo permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da UFS. Membro do Conselho Editorial da Revista do Instituto Histórico e Geográfico de Sergipe. Membro do Conselho Editorial/Cientifico Nacional da Interespaço - Revista de Geografia e Interdisciplinaridade. Membro da Sociedade Brasileira de História da Educação/SBHE. Atua no campo da História da Educação e os seus interesses estão voltados para discussões que dizem respeito ao Ensino Superior no Brasil .
