Abstract

Este artigo tem como objetivo mensurar o Produto Interno do macrossetor da Construção Civil. Também apresenta os cálculos dos índices puros de ligação e estimativas dos multiplicadores de empregos diretos, indiretos e induzidos. A base de dados é a matriz de insumo-produto brasileira para o ano de 2004. Os resultados mostram que o PIB do macrossetor da Construção Civil corresponde a 7,59% da economia brasileira, tendo gerado 15,2 milhões de empregos em 2004. A atividade de Construção Civil ficou classificada na sexta posição nos índices puros de ligação, classificando-se como setor-chave na economia nacional.
