Abstract

The article reports convivial experience with artist Iberê Camargo (Restinga Seca, 1914 - Porto Alegre, 1994), pointing his apprenticeship training and workshop practice, emphasizing the expression through a painting driven by intense dramatic drive.

Lenora Lerrer Rosenfield

Restorer and artist/researcher. Professor at the Arts Institute of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). PhD in Visual Poetics by the School of Communication and Arts (ECA) of University of São Paulo, 2004, and a Post-Doc by Università degli Studi Di Udine, Italy, 2011. Resident at the Harvard Art Museum, Cambridge, 1992-1993, and visiting scholar at New York University, 2001-2002. Member of the National Association for Research on Fine Arts (ANPAP).
