The National High School Examination (ENEM) is a relevant indicator of the academic performance of students in Basic Education in Brazil. During the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to factors traditionally associated with academic performance, such as family income and parents’ educational level, behavioral aspects, particularly study habits, may have significantly influenced students’ results. This work analyzed data from students who participated in the 2022 ENEM, focusing on study habits, whose information was made available for the first time in 2023. Using an unsupervised machine learning approach, the study sought to identify performance profiles and their relationships with these habits. The results showed that time management and regularity in studying positively impacted academic performance, even in the presence of limitations in access to technological resources. Furthermore, socioeconomic factors such as family income and access to electronic devices and the internet proved to be relevant.
