Abstract

The objective of this study is to measure and analyze the inputs find in the financial statements that most sensitize the ROE of the real estate exploration companies listed on B3. For this, we performed a bibliographic survey on the ROE and all the others that are involved, and its calculation. Next, we collected the quarterly financial statements for the period between 2010 and 2015 for the 12 companies listed in this sector using the Economatica® software database. From this database, we performed a Monte Carlo simulation with 100,000 iterations for each variable involved in the ROE calculation and we produced a descriptive statistic to identify the sensitivity of each variable over ROE, generating a ranking of the most relevant inputs in the ROE for each company. The main inputs found were: sales, cost of product sold and operating expenses.
