Prices practiced in the market of rice have affected the economy of Rio Grande do Sul, which is a traditional state in rice growing. Leadership in the costs is not often available in the commodities market, which is the case of rice. Even so, it is necessary to consider costs in order to seek for the best return rate in the investment. A way to analyze costs is by means of the break-even point concept and its correlated aspects. The present work applies this concept to the different systems of rice production – different technological models – so the analyst can choose the one that provides higher rentability out competing, this way, other producers of the sector.Downloads
