CALL FOR PAPERS FOR THE THEMATIC SECTION: VISUAL ARTS EDUCATION IN CHILDHOOD

The Journal GEARTE, an online periodic freely and universally accessed, will be receiving until May 15th, 2019, unpublished scientific papers on the theme “Visual Arts Education in Childhood”. This issue of the Journal presents research on the relationship between childhood and the visual arts, proposing reflections on the organization of learning situations that favor access to the cultural repertoire of this field of knowledge, as well as on the production of meanings in the visual arts by children, while form of expression and language. These learning situations can be organized by specialized teachers and also by other teachers who work in early childhood education. Thus, it is opportune to share works and research carried out in different contexts and ways of acting in visual arts teaching education, in order to contribute to the expansion of studies in the perspective of childhood education - considering that polysemy and the plurality of this concept reveal the diversity of childhoods lived. The Journal publishes papers, essays, visual narratives, results from investigations that are based on arts (IBA), reviews and interviews in Portuguese, Spanish and English. The contributions must be uploaded directly in the submission system, following the standards of the Journal.
