The Origins of MPM Propaganda
Keywords:
Advertising. Propaganda. MPM Propaganda.Abstract
This paper approaches the beginning of a Brazilian advertising agency: MPM Propaganda, from a historical Communication perspective. First place in the Brazilian ranking for a decade and a half, this company is fundamental for the understanding of the context of the advertising activity, because its success in the market shows the potential reached by national capital agencies. The opening of MPM Propaganda in Rio Grande do Sul, in 1957, reveals the local context of advertising and how the relationships among the social actors are built in this field of activity, in an incipient period of this activity in Rio Grande do Sul.Downloads
