Naturaleza, materia y neoliberalismo
discutiendo la fractura metabólica en la producción del espacio urbano en Chile

Discutimos la pertinencia, vigencia y necesidad del análisis marxista en el plano de las relaciones de producción entre sociedad y naturaleza. Para estos efectos, indagamos acerca del concepto de metabolismo presente en el libro III de El Capital de Karl Marx, retomado y actualizado por John Bellamy Foster con su “teoría de la ruptura metabólica”. Se expone su definición y se discute sobre ella considerando posturas que emanan principalmente desde la Geografía, la Sociología y la Ecología Política. Se enfatiza la problematización espacio-temporal de la brecha que deviene en fractura, para luego ser la base de análisis de la contemporaneidad chilena, donde brecha y fractura metabólica se relacionan con los procesos de producción de segunda naturaleza y urbanización planetaria.
