Abstract

The book 'Working in a multicultural world: a guide to developing intercultural competence' brings a global vision on the role of intercultural competences in everyday work, building in its skills development guide a rich path that includes experiences, experiences and involvement in multicultural settings around the world. The way relationships occur in the world of work, interactions and their effects are significant factors in the personal development of workers. Nardon offers a comprehensively structured guide to understanding intercultural interactions and developing skills for the situations that contemporary work demands of each of us workers. By bringing together skills for health work, we realize how much there is in common, given that it is a human activity – work – and, in the case of health, a possibility of new paths for health care and attention. The book arouses a lot of interest by proposing a methodology for identifying and developing skills and competencies that can (re)conduct interpersonal relationships, in their most different versions: work, leisure and interpersonal relationship situations. A pleasant read, it proposes exercises, moments of reflection and a solid theoretical-methodological basis to approach this relevant topic, bringing the author's analyzes closer to the complex skills that the world of health work awakens in professionals.
