Objective: This Bulletin aims to present the National Policy for Healthcare for Indigenous Peoples (PNASPI), its objectives, and the challenges of implementation as an equity policy within the Unified Health System (SUS). The primary target audience is healthcare students, especially those in the early stages of their undergraduate programs, but it can also be used as information material for professors, SUS workers, and the general public. Conclusion: Recognizing the specific needs of indigenous communities is essential for the effective implementation of the PNASPI. Ensuring compliance with the Policy depends not only on implementation but also on the ongoing training of healthcare professionals, who must be prepared to embrace different cultures, customs, and ways of experiencing the world. It is necessary to increase access to hygiene products and promote health education.
