TEACHING CONFLICT MANAGEMENT AND GAMIFICATION IN UNDERGRADUATE NURSING IN THE CONTEXT OF COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic suddenly changed nursing teaching with online teaching, and stimulated the use of active learning methodologies in this context. Online games can be considered as active methodologies by encouraging greater student involvement, significant learning as it associates themes and content through challenges and competitions. It considers
that the nurse should develop skills for conflict management and proper management contributes to a healthy environment for professionals and patients, whose primordial purpose is the reach of quality and safety in care provided. In this article there was the experience of gamification of the theme conflict management in teaching and learning of the undergraduate nursing from five games, elaborated and implemented remotely. Students were presented to the games, encouraged to compete and obtain punctuations individually and at the end they were able to reflect and discuss collectively about conflict management. In the perception of the proponents, the learning objectives were achieved. The games methodology was
identified as a valid approach, with greater student engagement. The gamification and use of interactive games as a teaching and learning strategy was efficient by stimulating content appropriation and reflections of the theme online.
