The Postgraduate Program in Teaching in Health had a high score from 3 to 4, in the 2017-2020 CAPES Quadrennial Assessment, with good or very good performance in the three evaluative items (program proposal, training and social impact), demonstrating maturity, positive outcomes of training and performance in research projects articulated with the health network. The journal Saberes Plurais Educação na Saúde is in tune with such growth and promotes it, by reflecting the program's mission of training health professionals to act strategically in the contexts of the care and education networks of the Unified Health System. Among the highlights of the PPGENSAU/UFRGS obtained in the four-year evaluation process: consistent proposal, research adherent to the concentration area and lines of research; based curriculum, program sustainability, search for partnerships with managers in the health area, qualified and stable teaching staff, teaching-service-community integration actions, strategic planning, participatory conduction, evaluation cycles with the academic community, self-assessment and course conclusion work always accompanied by a technical product focused on the regional reality. Graduates have good insertion in the labor market, many working in their hometowns in activities related to health education. As for the social impact of the program, the evaluation highlighted the innovative character of the intellectual production, diversity and originality in the elaboration processes, with products that involve the community and undergraduate students, are elaborated in partnership with other institutions, receive financial support from a public call and advice from a university abroad. PPGENSAU/UFRGS starts internationalization, but its highlight is the penetration in regional services, through the links with graduates and the capillarity of the positions that students occupy.
