O CURSO TÉCNICO DE ARQUITETURA DO INSTITUTO DE BELAS ARTES DO RIO GRANDE DO SUL: CURRÍCULOS, INGRESSANTES E DIPLOMADOS

Abstract

RESUMO
A graduação em Arquitetura do Instituto de Belas Artes do Rio Grande do Sul, criada em 1945, é reconhecida como pioneira na formação de arquitetos no Estado. Todavia, uma experiência do próprio Instituto a precedeu: o Curso Técnico de Arquitetura. Mas muitos de seus aspectos permanecem desconhecidos: Qual foi seu período de vigência? Que currículos adotou? Quem o cursou? Quem se diplomou Técnico? Este trabalho realiza uma historiografia do Curso Técnico de Arquitetura do Instituto gaúcho em busca de respostas a essas questões. Para elaborá-la, a pesquisa teve como corpus a documentação administrativa do Instituto de Belas Artes, reunida no arquivo do Instituto de Artes da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. A história aqui construída se fez a partir da seguinte premissa: a experiência do Curso Técnico de Arquitetura foi uma etapa decisiva para a autonomia do ensino e da atividade profissional.

ABSTRACT
The graduation in Architecture of the Institute of Fine Arts of Rio Grande do Sul, created in 1945, is recognized as a pioneer in the training of architects in the State. However, an experience of the Institute itself preceded it: the Technical Course in Architecture. But many aspects of this technical course remain unknown: What was its period of validity? What curriculum adopted? Who attended it? Who became a Technician? This work makes a historiography of the Technical Course of Architecture of the Instituto gaúcho in search of answers to these questions. To elaborate it, the research had as corpus the administrative documentation of the Institute of Fine Arts, gathered in the archive of the Institute of Arts of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. The history built here was made from the following premise: the experience of the Technical Course in Architecture was a decisive step towards the autonomy of teaching and professional activity.
