The research was conducted through the identification of keyword co-occurrences in academic articles indexed in the Web of Science, spanning four decades (1990-2020), allowing for an understanding of thematic relationships in scientific production over the decades. The results highlight the interconnection between information management, knowledge management, innovation, and information retrieval, revealing that effective management of these elements is fundamental to drive innovation and competitiveness in complex scenarios. Additionally, the research identifies changes in the most prominent keywords over time, indicating emerging focus areas such as "big data" and "artificial intelligence."
