The Local Development conquers space inside the development analyses while proposing a more calibrated development with cultural, economic, political and social differences in each region. The agribusiness unfolds in the rural Brazilian environment like one of the most efficient and competitive in the world, but the rural poverty also blunts like one of the larger social blemishes and, under this reality, the cattle breeding milky is an important social and economical activity for embracing a small producers big bit. Inside this context, the work goal was to analyze and unveil the Milk Producers Association of Águas Belas role like a local development agent in the involved actors optics. The applied methodology was the study of the case, comprehending some observation, semi-structured interviews and informal conversations. The study evidences that the Association accomplishes several development indicators, job and income generation, access to rural credit, access to new technologies, important institutional partnerships, which demonstrate a fundamental role in the local development. However, the association inclusion is still very limited to the associates and the social sustainability is fragile (objective participation and low subjective participation incidence).Downloads
