MATURITY AGENDA OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES RESEARCH FOR THE IN RELATION TO INDUSTRY 4.0
Abstract
The research aim is to present the maturity models future agenda to evaluate Small and Medium Enterprises - SMEs Industry 4.0 development, as fourth industrial revolution adapt ability. For this, a systematic literature review was carried out through bibliometrics to identify Industry 4.0 potential elements that contribute to SMEs and the main difficulties that will be faced by these businesses in the face transformations possible presented by digitization age. In this sense, data from the 700 studies that the database returned from 1995 to 2022 were compiled and 375 studies from this database that make up the scope of this research were analyzed. The results list the barriers and opportunities cited by the analyzed works, in addition, the determinants for successful implementations and the points that should be considered to compose models to assess the maturity of SMEs in relation to Industry 4.0 are highlighted. The work suggests an agenda for future studies, as well as indicators that can help to compose a new maturity model dedicated to small businesses.
