Abstract

In this article, the commodification of education and its foundations, expressed in the guidance of both international organizations and global corporations, as well as the national business community, for the conversion of school curricula into skill acquisition itineraries, are discussed. Such strategies, operationalized through curricular guidance and large-scale assessments, converge towards adapting individuals to the current context of global capitalism. This is a qualitative research study of a bibliographic nature, which enables the critique of the conversion of education into commodities that, upon acquisition, would provide the necessary flexibility in the context of platformized and deregulated work.
