In this paper I undertake an analysis of the references to Venuspresent in the poetry by Tomás Antônio Gonzaga and in odes by Horace inwhich similarities and differences between the conceptualizations of thegoddess presented by one and another poet are stablished. Hence, it ispossible to verify the aplicability of the concept of indirect mimesis ascriation according to the arguments posed by the neoclassical theoreticiansin relation to the principle of imitation of the classical authors.Downloads
