Anthology Tinta: poetry of Afro-Uruguayan women as a preface to Amefrican literature

POESIA DE MULHERES AFROURUGUAIAS COMO PREFÁCIO ÀS LITERATURAS AMEFRICANAS

Abstract

This article examines the anthology Tinta: poetisas afrodescendientes as a production of knowledge from contemporary amefrican poets in Uruguay. This examination proposes the hypothesis of the body as a category of literary analysis, briefly examining the epistemological centrality of place, as well as a relation between body and place as a key to reading the referred anthology. It is expected that the results of this investigation provide support for a scientific understanding of the amefrican literatures and, therefore, of the amefrican place as a place of knowledge.
