Abstract

the theme addressed in this study is the constitution of the child as a speaker in and through the narrative. The proposal aims to reflect, from the Benvenistian enunciative perspective, on narrative as an enunciative mode of the human practice of language, in which the child constitutes his enunciative and saying place.  The theoretical foundation is developed from the enunciative perspective of Émile Benveniste (1976, 1989), with the contribution of contemporary researchers who study this author's work, in particular, de Silva (2009), Knack (2018), Diedrich (2020, 2022), Silva and Diedrich (2022) and Author (2023).  The analysis methodology is defined as qualitative descriptive, based on the observation of an enunciative clipping of the narrative of the brothers Theodoro, 3 years old; and Sophia, 6 years old. The results obtained show that, in and through the narrative, the speaking child mobilizes the language in discourse, based on specific indices and accessory procedures, constituting its enunciative place, and, thus, in the relationship with the other, it occupies its place of saying in society.
