In this article, we present some perceptions of southern and northeastern speakers in intervarietal contact in the Northeast region, for almost four decades. The methodological theoretical perspective that guided the collection and analysis is Pluridimensional and Contactual Geolinguistics (ALTENHOFEN; THUN, 2016) which deals with linguistic and social data of topostatic and topodynamic speakers in intervarietal contact, caused by migrations of minority groups. The metalinguistic comments of the research participants present perceptions that interlocute with the postulates by Auer et al (2013) and Thun (1998). The data suggest that the deictic elements, adverbs of place, produced in subjective evaluations of the regional variants, indicate the “place of belonging” of the speakers themselves, indicating the loyalty and identity of each group with its geographic linguistic matrix.
