Do uno ao diverso: breve histórico crítico do comparatismo

Abstract

The article deals with the comparative literature studies in theirfirst century of existence, from their earliest manifestations, when it was notyet considered an academic subject, to the works that consolidated it in themodern studies, especially the work of Hutcheson McCauley Posnett. Thearticle also mentions Wellek’s criticism to the studies based on the FrenchSchool, and it finally adds some considerations about the interdisciplinarystudies developed in the last two decades.
