Abstract

This essay presents a commentary on three poems by Graça Graúna from the book Canto mestizo, published in 1999. The commentary seeks to engage with the forms of the poems, highlighting their explicit and implicit constructs. These forms seem to invite interpretation to challenge current images of droughts by proposing images that are linked to hope expressed in worlds created by plural voices, both human and more-than-human.
