Abstract

Rehabilitation is a dynamic process that involves different periods of the life of women with breast cancer and of their family. It allows for improved quality of life with an approach on all basic needs of patients and stimulation towards resuming habitual activities as soon as possible. The process of rehabilitation is carried out with different objectives for different situations; it is shared by a multidisciplinary team of professionals that is responsible for the patients in order to minimize physical and psychological consequences of the disease. Rehabilitation should start at the moment of diagnosis and end only in cases of death.
