Abstract

In December 2018, I accompanied the transfer of the elephant Rana for about 2,700 km between the Boa Luz farm hotel, on the outskirts of Aracajú, to the Elephant Sanctuary Brazil (SEB), in Mato Grosso — Brazil. In the present work, I report this experience which I had the opportunity to record as a photographer, journalist and volunteer on this journey. There were about 10 days following a process that had already been in the bureaucratic process for at least two years.
