Abstract

This essay speaks about my experiences, interests and efforts to look, think and
approach the world throught photography. Using a visual language to approach people, habits,
life andthe world of work.. In a way, this collection of photographs, many of them portraits,
is my life as a photographer and “politician” to the extent of my limitations. Photography,
work, art, anthropology and teaching are my life. As far as I have been able so far. Thank you
for yours attentive looks. Many years ago, my colleague, friend, and later master’s advisor
Dr. Ondina Fachel Leal said that I looked at the Other’s gaze, I didn’t know then that she was
right.
