Abstract

Recently, it has become increasingly frequent to spot campers in the urban landscape of the city of São Paulo. These are homeless people, vulnerable and exposed to violence, neglect, lack of opportunities and harmful alternatives, who settle in crowded places, usually in central regions. If there is a certain beauty in the images presented here, they mask the drama that is living on the streets, having walls and canvas or plastic roofs as protection. In black and white, the records are presented in open plan, as if observing.
