In this text, starting from the example of the graffiti movement, I have problematized some characteristics of contemporary art that have not been usually considered in school curricula. First, without intending to exhaust this discussion, I have approached the discursive duality between street art and museum art. In what follows, I have presented a brief report about both the history and the characteristics of the graffiti movement, including its context in Roraima. Finally, I have discussed some aspects that should be rethought by art teachers, considering the anachronism between the diversification of the contemporary art production and the art curricula.Downloads
