Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- This document does not identify in any way the author(s) of this paper and the name(s) of the author(s) has been removed from the Properties of the document in Microsoft Word, thus ensuring the journal's confidentiality criteria.
- The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; any other case should be justified in "Comments to the Editor".
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF format (provided they do not exceed 2MB).
- The text has a space between lines of 1.5; uses Times New Roman 12-points; employs italics, rather than underlining or bold (except with URL addresses); figures and tables are inserted in the text, and not at the end.

The paper has a coversheet containing title, abstract, keywords, both in the original language and in English.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines in About the Journal.
- I agree that, in order to guarantee visibility and international access to published texts, Educação & Realidade always publishes bilingual versions of articles and, therefore, I must send, upon publication, the article in Portuguese (or Spanish) and also in English.

Manuscripts must be accompanied by a supplementary document or comment to the editor stating the availability of the data used and generated in the research underlying the texts, according to one of the three options below:
- URL address of the dataset;
- statement that all data are available in the text;
- indication that the data should be requested from the corresponding author. This option is only available in cases where there are ethical restrictions, for security or financial reasons.
