The objective of this article is to analyse brazilian foreign policy during Lula’s da Silva government (2003-2010). The search to project the country as a protagonist actor in the international system and to fortify the multilateralism had been defining elements of the brazilian foreign policy. Despite these are not totaly new objectives in the history of the brazilian foreign policy, in the Lula’s da Silva government, they had acquired renewed centrality, due to aspects of domestic politics and changes in the international system. In this context Brazil seems to have achieved a new position of reasonable proeminence, anchored in the improvement of the economic and social reality of the country and in an international ativism that search the strengthening of the multipolarity.Downloads
