Uma história de vida e de trabalho: a educadora Julia Malvina Hailliot Tavares
Abstract
Este artigo é uma síntese de um trabalho monográfico de conclusão do curso de História, apresentado à PUCRS em dezembro de 1996. O principal objetivo da pesquisa é reconstituir aspectos significativos da história de vida da educadora Julia Malvina Hailliot Tavares (1866-1939) que, iniciando sua atuação profissional em 1898, desenvolveu intenso trabalho nas atividades do ensino público rio-grandense, em uma comunidade rural.

Abstract
This essay is a synthesis of a History course final paper, presented at PUCRS (Catholic University in the South of Brazil), in december,1996. The main objective of this search is to reconstitute meaningful aspects of the educator Julia Malvina Hailliot Tavares, (1866-1939) life story, who, having started her professional life in 1898, had carried out an intensive job in rio-grandenses public educational system (Rio Grande do Sul state, South, Brazil) at a country community.
