Abstract

This paper describes the design and monitoring of an Auditorium for 200 students, built using solar and bioclimatic strategies, in General Pico (La Pampa province, Argentina) for National University of La Pampa. Two winter weeks were selected from the measured data, one when the building was in use with the heating system on, and another week when the building was unoccupied due to winter holidays. A week in November 200, was selected for the summer analysis. The results of measurements and of winter and summer thermal behaviour are described. The results showed energy savings up to 50%, as compared to a similar conventional building.
