O livro “’Fragile States’ in an Unequal World: the role of the g7+ in International Diplomacy and Development Cooperation” de Isabel Rocha de Siqueira da PUC-RJ é uma contribuição para o campo de estudos das Relações Internacionais. O livro traz boas contribuições para pensar o Sul global na atual política internacional. A narrativa inova ao enfocar o lado humano da ‘política’ (big politics), a partir de um trabalho de pesquisa realizado junto à organização intergovernamental g7+. Um traço distintivo da obra é sua abordagem metodológica ao trazer para o debate temas e agendas por meio das ‘histórias de vida’ (storytelling), fruto das reflexões e propostas realizadas pelo Laboratório de Metodologia (LabMET) coordenado pela pesquisadora. Também, uma reflexão conceitual sobre os Estados frágeis, abarca questões teóricas, metodológicas e de posicionamentos pessoais e subjetividades que estão presentes nos bastidores da política internacional. O g7+ é um tema de grande relevância para este cenário em que o Sul Global se projeta sobretudo na Agenda 2030 que pretende “não deixar ninguém para trás”.
