O livro ¨A China no capitalismo contemporâneo¨ apresenta um olhar sobre o desenvolvimento da China no cenário internacional, através de uma perspectiva econômica, social e política. A obra organizada por Esther Majerowicz e Edmilson Paraná está dividida em três partes, iniciando pela caracterização do desenvolvimento chinês, seguindo pela formação das classes sociais após as reformas de 1978 e última parte está focada na inserção internacional chinesa e na disputa tecnológica entre China e Estados Unidos. As reflexões construídas ao longo da obra mostram a importância da China como peça-chave da geopolítica mundial.
