This article aims at discussing the issue of gender at FAPESP through two indicators: decision-making positions and international agreements signed with the European Union, and its member and associated countries. Although it is possible to observe important advances in relation to political concern with the issue, women account for only 8% of the chairs of the Superior Council in a historical perspective. Furthermore, only 2% of the agreements analyzed mentioned gender equality. Regarding FAPESP, although it is possible to observe a historical increase in the participation of women, the result of the analysis shows that there is still much to be done in terms of asymmetry in scientific careers related to the themes of Science, Technology and Innovation, as well as at higher hierarchical levels. high points related to scientific policy. In this scenario, the creation of scientific and technological policies to develop incentives for gender equality is essential.
