Abstract

The objective of this text is to present the current UNASUR crisis context, analyzing the constraints and interests that surround the process. In addition, an attempt is made to analyze the historical evolution of regional cooperation that led to the creation of the body, justifying the importance of its maintenance through the exemplification of the main achievements within UNASUR.

Professor of International Relations at UniLasalle-RJ. PhD student in International Political Economy of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PEPI-UFRJ). Master in International Strategic Studies from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (PPGEEI-UFRGS) and Bachelor in International Relations (UFRGS).
