MOVIMENTO SEDICIOSO: A INSURREIÇÃO TENENTISTA DE 1924 NO RIO GRANDE DO SUL

O surgimento do movimento tenentista na década de 1920 fez com que oficiais de baixa patente do Exército brasileiro passassem a contestar a estrutura política da Primeira República (1889-1930). Nos anos de 1922 e 1924, insurreições armadas lideradas por esses militares fizeram oposição à presidência da República e tiveram influência sobre o desgaste do sistema implantado em 1889. Neste contexto, o artigo trata sobre os desdobramentos destas insurreições detendo-se especialmente nos acontecimentos que se desenvolveram no Rio Grande do Sul, a partir de outubro de 1924. Para tanto, recorremos a fontes escritas, como jornais e relatórios de inquéritos policiais, no sentido, de expor e analisar como o movimento rebelde foi desencadeado no estado, como se deu a participação de militares e civis, assim como a insurreição foi representada, seja pelos veículos de comunicação ou pelas autoridades ligadas aos governos federal e estadual.

ABSTRACT
The emergence of the tenentista movement in the decade of 1920 caused that low rank officers of the Brazilian Army began to contest the political structure of the First Republic (1889-1930). In 1922 and 1924 armed insurrections led by these soldiers opposed the presidency of the Republic and had an influence on deterioration of the system implanted in 1889. In this context, the article deals with the unfolding of these insurrections, focusing especially on the events that developed in Rio Grande do Sul from October 1924. For this we use written sources, such as newspapers and reports of police inquiries, in order to expose and analyze how the rebel movement was unleashed in the state, as did the participation of the military and civilians, just as the insurrection was represented, either by the media or by the authorities linked to the federal and state governments.
